1. CEO / Manager – Farmer Producer Company (FPO)

Responsibilities
YCDA is Implementing FPO Promotion Program in Boudh district of Odisha and
looking forward to recruiting the following positions for this program.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Formation of Farmer interest Groups and Farmer Producer Organisation.
2. Motivate farmers to become member of FPO and Mobilise shares.
3. Training to multiple stakeholders involved in the project and coordination with them.
4. Conduct Need Assessment, Planning and Evaluation meeting time to time.
5. Prepare the Training / Resource Material in local dialect, participate as a resource
person
and/or
arrange resource persons to train the farmers.
6. Provide Forward and Backward Market Linkage to the farmers through Producer Company
7. Facilitate linkages with Agri University, KVKs, Etc for promoting Agriculture Extension
Services.
8. Prepare Bankable proposal and arrange finance for FPO.
9. Facilitate Convergence of Government schemes
10. Promote producer groups / Company to increase bargaining power of farmers in the market
place and to gain the benefits of market institutions, and commodity exchanges.
11. Carry out market & commodity analysis, Feasibility Study to ensure better returns to
Farmers
12. Manage aggregation and disaggregation processes at Farmer Producer Organizations
13. To prepare business plans and detailed road map for FPOs
14. Regular reporting and documentation for activities conducted to higher management.
15. Any other work assigned time to time by the Seniors.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
QUALIFICATION: - Any Graduates with relevant experience. Preference will be given to the
candidates with MBA in Marketing/ B.Sc Agriculture or experience of working with FPOs.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3+ year’s work experience in Farmer Producer Organization Promotion
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
1. Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Odia
2. Good knowledge of Email, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
3. Experience in Agriculture, Marketing, Farmer Producer Organization, Capacity Building
&
